aAAAAUGH
I hate that enemy type. Parrying and dodging requires knowing which direction a blow is coming from, and you can only parry weapon strikes, not punches or kicks. These total assholes have very deceptive movesets, and a tendency to do undodgable kicks, so you have to be ready to block, which for most enemies you try not to ever do, since it's just a waste of a parry chance.
ANYWAY. Where were we.
Oh right, we jumped down a well and ended up skipping most of the castle so that we could go check out the Ominous Basement.

There's three locked doors and a little obelisk with a familiar shaped hole in it

Which Our Hero wanders up to, stares at for about two seconds and then wanders away like "welp"

Obviously we'll be coming back later. Instead, let's fight this man who literally dropped off a fucking cliff to come at us. I mean, once someone's done that, you know they're serious.

I'll admit, skipping most of the castle was an accident on my part. It's been years and I forgot where the well led to. So now we're coming up through the castle keep, through the workplace safety hellpit in the floor, calling the lift down to get to the throne room and oh hey!

Golems are apparently a thing in this game! That's nice. I notice that the blue circle of interaction showed up over its crotch. It's making it clear where we're supposed to stab.

That's our last fight before the throne room! I've leveled up a little bit, and I threw all my points into health. The build I'll be aiming for is 3,000 Health, 100 Attack, everything else in Shield. That will let me be a stupid idiot and take a few hits to the face without keeling over.
(I will have more to say on this leveling system in the future, as things progressively get more batshit.)

Actually you know what? I'm not feeling like going up there yet, let's go back down to the basement and hide.
...nah okay let's go up. Wait, why do I have to call the elevator aga--

okay then

look let's not risk that getting any worse
